SERVICE
Marine Fire Protection Service
Fire Extinguisher
A comprehensive range of marine approved fire extinguisher,
including traditional water, foam, powder, CO2 wet chemical
fire extinguisher.
Water
Water extinguisher are reliable and effective general purpose extinguishers, providing a cost
effective solution for tackling freely burning material, such as paper, cloth, wood and furniture
Foam
Foam extinguisher are ideal for multi-risk environments, where the source of the fire could be freely
butning solid materials, like wood and paper, or flammable liquids like petrol or diesel.
Powder
Safety at sea dry powder extinguisher are extremely versatile as they can tackle fires involving freely
burning materials, petrol, and oils, gas and even electrical equipment
CO²
CO² gas extinguishers are highly effective againts fires involving electrical equipment like
computers, photocopies and generators. Clean yet powerful, they are ideal for office and workshops.
Fixed Fire Suppression Systems
Carbon dioxide
Carbon dioxide is a naturally occurring gas and an excellent
extinguishing agent that extinguisher fires by reducing the oxygen
level below that which will sustain combustion
Room Integrity Testing (i.e. the rooms capacity to hold gas) is vital
to ensure your protected area is well-sealed and your gaseous agent
won’t escape causing the fire to possibly re-ignite.
Liferaft
Inflatable life raft generally has a lifespan of ten to fifteen years.
Practicallt all rafts are recommended to service annually or bi-annually if vacum sealed.
(Never exceed 2-3 years due to the chance of battery/flare corrosion) rafts are made of several different
types of materials. Most life rafts are available in either a valise (packed in a bag), or hand canister.
The valise is designed for stowage below and the canister is deck-mounted. Many boats lack the deck
space for a container and just secure their valise in a cockpit locker or on deck during offshore passages.
Life Jacket
The different types of life jackets (also referred to as PFDs – Personal Flotation Devices) can
help you decide which are appropriate for your crew members. Inflatable PFDs have manual
or automatic inflation with oral inflation as a back-up. Manual systems are the simplest to maintain
and less susceptible to unwanted or inadvertent inflation, but rely entirely on wearer activation.
The user activates the manual system usually by pulling a lanyard, which inflates the device with
a carbon dioxide cartridge.
Breathing Apparatus / ABD
Breathing Apparatus / ABD
RZ Marine Safety are qualified to supply and service Breathing Apparatus (BA) / ABD kits
and offering a board range of BA / ABD equipment that can be used in a range of industries.
Fire Detection & Alarm System
Marine approved automatic fire detection and alarm system provide the earliest possible
warning of a developing emergency situation, vital for safety at sea, where every second counts.
